Continuum of Care
PSI continuum of care helps children and adults having psychiatric challenges live in the community:
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention
• Individual and Family Therapy
• Peer Therapy
• Psychopharmacology
• School or Work Consultation
• Psycho-social Rehabilitation
OTHER MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Interdisciplinary Evaluations
PSI interdisciplinary teams of mental health staff offer culturally-sensitive
evaluations. Our staff evaluates all age ranges from preschooler to seniors, diagnosing their needs within their social context. We then work closely with families and other agencies to follow through on our recommendations.
Out-Patient Treatment
PSI staff help children and adults learn to recognize and manage their own symptoms effectively. They learn to respond more appropriately to the stressors and frustrations of daily living. PSI uses expressive and cognitive therapeutic techniques, role plays, self talk, tai'chi, and religion in individual and family therapy.
Substance Abuse Education and Treatment
PSI substance abuse services begin with preventive education for children and adults. We offer special counseling and training for aging adults to prevent late onset substance abuse from alcohol and prescription medication. PSI substance abuse counselors integrate self-help with relapse prevention and recovery counseling for individuals and adults. We require random drug screening as part of our program.
